I grew up on a small, family farm in Illinois alongside 20-30 cats. Being autistic, highly empathetic, and spending more time around cats than humans as a young child led to my natural ability to understand cats through their body language, facial expressions, and vocal patterns. Though I am a natural at communicating with all animals I meet, I especially shine with cats.
Through the years, I’ve struggled to find my place in the world. I’ve worked in restaurants, car dealerships (ugh), various retail stores, and I spent a good amount of time working in tech, but none of these things felt right.
In 2016 I began forming a plan to start my own cat-related business. I’d been around cats for my entire life and felt like I understood them in a way no one else did, but hadn’t quite figured out what to do with that. I would volunteer at shelters now and then, I fostered a few cats through PAWS Chicago, but I’ve always dreamed of helping on a larger scale. In January of 2019, my determination to follow my dream was too strong to ignore, I decided to launch my consulting business, Feline Fab, and made it my full-time focus.
How I run my business is important to me. I have 20+ years of experience in customer service and business management and I thoroughly vet any contractors, vendors, or brands I partner with. My time working with IT clients remotely has given me a strong set of skills that enable me to provide the same quality of service to folks anywhere around the world. I conduct intensive research regarding every bit of advice I give and every product I recommend and I strive to always deliver actionable advice quickly.
I don’t just offer quick solutions anyone can find online, I help folks understand their furry friends so they can learn the true causes of their behavioral issues and then take steps to resolve those problems permanently.
I work with Feline Friends in Chicago as a behavior consultant with fantastic results helping cats find their furever homes, I educate folks in workshops on cat body language and cat massage, I write blog articles on common behavioral issues and other cat-related topics, I recently launched my YouTube channel, and I have a children’s book in the works that I’m very excited about!
In my spare time, I enjoy cuddling my two cats, Ralphie and Lucy, while watching various streaming services. I occasionally enjoy a bit of gaming, and I love making stuff! I design and create custom cat furniture for myself and my clients and I make wooden jewelry too!
Oh and one more thing! I’m non-binary, specifically agender, so please try your best to refer to me using they/them pronouns.
